We Do #SolidarityProjects

What is Queer Fair?
The annual Queer Fair event is a radical, abolitionist queer safe space. It is Community Solidarity Project's answer to an increasingly pinkwashed and corporatized Pride.

As political violence grows stronger and threatens the livelihoods of our queer and trans siblings, Community Solidarity Project remains committed to creating safe and empowering space for the LGBTQIA+ community. With over 20 artisanal vendors, artists and community advocacy groups tabling, as well as a lineup of music, dance and poetry performances, Queer Fair is a celebration that underscores the conviction that queer and trans folks deserve full, joyful lives. We believe firmly that celebrations of LGBTQIA+ pride should be by and for the people most impacted by homophobic and transphobic violence. As a largely queer and femme-led group, Community Solidarity Project is proud of our yearly effort to build an inclusive, affirming event during a time when pinkwashing so frequently obscures the liberatory roots of Pride.
Queer Fair is an event that celebrates and brings together local mutual aid organizations, performers, and vendors for a day of creativity and celebration. Our aim is to foster an inclusive, all ages environment where queer people can enjoy lively performances, discover unique products from local businesses, engage with nonprofits that support LGBTQIA+ rights and advocacy, and build community together.

Performances
The main stage at Queer Fair is not to be missed! Our performances are beautiful, meaningful, and wild! When the performers take the stage, it is a powerful experience.

Arts & Crafts
At the forefront of Queer Fair's mission is revolutionary creativity. Each year's event has between two and four arts and crafts station. Have a craft idea? Let us know!

Mutual Aid
A crucial part of any liberatory community building is mutual aid. Queer Fair is a space of intentional community, and taking care of one another means building mutual aid in every space.
